Strahd, Cairn, Jackbox, and more; Week of July 19--25, 2026

Inside QuestHouse -- July 2026

Yesterday, Hamish and thepotatoqueenn took TQH to the RTR Sci-Fi Escape Pod at Gamers Armory in Cary. The TQH table ran Space Cowboy Bounty Hunt, a Cowboy Bebop-inspired bounty hunting game built on a Mark of the Odd system that Hamish put together specifically for the occasion. vpotter also ran a table at the afternoon session with a Nausicaa-inspired Traveller game. Two TQH-connected tables at an RTR event is a first, and by all accounts it went well.

On the horizon: kodiak1776 is putting together what sounds like an ambitious long-term sandbox campaign in ACKS -- think domain management, political intrigue, and a fantasy-Rome setting.

vpotter's Cairn one-shot is on the books for August 9 at Battle and Board -- a new venue TQH hasn't used before. vpotter is exploring it as a potential regular space, so this one is worth attending even beyond the game itself. And tilairgan is running TQH's first Jackbox night on August 15 at 8PM over Discord -- only the host needs to own the games, so it costs nothing to join. More details in the Discord closer to the date.

lorez's Curse of Strahd campaign is back this Monday at Gamers' Geekery. The table has been together since May; it's good to have them back.
