Code of Conduct
Our main goal is to enjoy great games and events together. To make that work, we have a few basic standards. The following rules apply both on our social media (Discord server etc.) and in all games:
No hatred or bigotry.
Discrimination or harassment based on identity or background will not be tolerated. If you’re unsure if something violates this rule, assume it does.
No sexual content.
Keep the server and games free of explicit sexual material. Let’s keep it PG-13.
Treat others with decency.
Be respectful and considerate toward your fellow players. Harassment, vitriol, and generally giving people grief are not acceptable.
No carpetbagging.
Do not come here primarily to advertise (books, podcasts, etc.). If you wish to promote something, participate in the community materially beyond that and clear it with a mod or Hamish.
DM authority.
Individual DMs may set additional conduct rules for their games provided they communicate them to the players.
Communicate boundaries.
Players and DMs share responsibility for discussing content boundaries before a game. This discussion may take the form of a pre-game conversation (in person or on Discord) or a concise document or questionnaire (more common for online games). Any documents or forms should get the point across while respecting players’ time.
DMs are encouraged to warn players about potentially sensitive material.
Players should inform DMs about content they would prefer to avoid. This can include phobias (e.g., spiders or snakes), sensitivity to violence or harm involving vulnerable groups, or anything else that would significantly reduce your enjoyment.
We respect each other’s boundaries and discuss them openly so everyone can focus on having fun.
Rules 1–3 always apply in all games regardless of individual table rules.
Any questions not related to a specific game should be directed to Hamish or a moderator. Questions related to a specific game should be directed to the DM.
