Question 1

What kinds of games and events do you run?

Accepted Answer

Our founder, Hamish, runs highly produced one-shots that aim to create memorable experiences, and volunteer DMs host casual games. We also organize board game nights and social events outside gaming to help everyone get to know each other. Many friendships start here, and we're proud of that.

Question 2

Are your events drop-in or do I need to commit to an ongoing campaign?

Accepted Answer

Mostly drop-in. Hamish's flagship sessions are designed as self-contained one-shots so that you can show up for a single night with no prior commitment. Some contributing DM games may run across multiple sessions, and we do have a couple of ongoing unofficial campaigns, but that's always communicated upfront so you know what you're signing up for.

Question 3

Is Triangle QuestHouse LGBTQ+ friendly?

Accepted Answer

Our community is LGBTQ+ friendly, and we want everyone to feel safe and respected. Our Code of Conduct reflects that, and so do the people who show up. We welcome all identities and backgrounds at our table.

Question 4

Do I have to pay to join?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. We don't require you to pay to join our party, and we don't lock any activities behind a paywall. You can contribute in other ways, though, like volunteering as a DM or event organizer. If you're interested in helping run events or leading sessions, reach out to us through Discord or during community meetups-we'd love to have you involved!

Question 5

Do I need experience to join?

Accepted Answer

We welcome both new and experienced players, so you don't need any prior experience. Just show up and have fun-it's that simple.

Question 6

Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

Nope, just yourself. We'll handle the dice, character sheets, and any other materials you need. If you have your own supplies and want to bring them, go for it, but they're never required.

Question 7

Do I have to roleplay?

Accepted Answer

Roleplay is encouraged but never required. No one's judging your acting skills. Engage as much or as little as feels comfortable. The table will meet you where you are.

Question 8

What systems do you play?

Accepted Answer

It depends on what the DM wants to run. We play a wide range and are always willing to help anyone learn. Here are some of what you might encounter:

- D&D 5e
- OSE
- Call of Cthulhu
- And more

Question 9

Where do events usually take place?

Accepted Answer

We rotate venues around the Raleigh-Durham area, so the location varies by event. Sometimes, we also host events virtually on our Discord Server. The best way to find out is either through Discord or by finding the event you’re interested in on our Events page.

Question 10

How do I sign up for sessions?

Accepted Answer

Discord is where everything happens, including event announcements, virtual activities, session sign-ups, and general community conversation. Join the server, and you'll have everything you need.
